What we're up against

We are not just looking at a typical political disagreement. We are looking at Project 2025, a 900-page blueprint written by the Heritage Foundation. It is the playbook for Donald Trump and his billionaire friends. They have a plan (in writing) to dismantle American democracy as we know it.

We have seen what has already happened. They fired tens of thousands of non-partisan civil servants and replaced them with Trump loyalists. They gutted the Department of Education, destroyed our unions, and sent the military and masked goons onto our streets. 

Next, they want to strip away the rights of women and the working class. They want to privatize social security and end medicaid and medicare. This is not a secret. They are telling us exactly what they are going to do.

I am asking you to read it. Do not look away. You need to read it because you need to know exactly what Donald Trumpis thinking. They are organized, they are well-funded, and they are coming for the very foundations of our society.

And that is exactly why I am running for the State Senate.

Because when you are facing an existential threat like the Trump agenda, you cannot have leadership that is asleep at the wheel! You cannot fight a radical right-wing movement with "business as usual" politics. And let’s be honest: Bill Ferguson has become the candidate of "business as usual."

While we face these massive threats, what has the Senate President been doing? He has been overlooking the people of this district. He has been listening to the lobbyists in Annapolis instead of the struggling families here in Baltimore.

Look at his record on our young people. When our communities needed massive investment in jobs, mental health, and after-school programs, what did Bill Ferguson give us? He gave us a rollback of juvenile justice reforms—punishing our children for the failures of the state instead of lifting them up! That is not progressive leadership. That is the path of least resistance.

Bill Ferguson thinks he can coast on the status quo while our communities are hurting. Well, I have got news for the establishment: The status quo is not working.

We need a State Senator who understands that we are in a fight for our future. We need someone who isn't afraid to shake up the system and demand an economy that works for all of us, not just the wealthy campaign donors.

Enough is enough. It is time to send a message to Annapolis. It is time for a political revolution right here in Maryland.
